The Lemuel Milk Carriage House, known locally as the Stone Barn, is now home to the French Heritage Museum and is part of the Kankakee County Museum Campus. Here you can explore the French involvement in the history of the Kankakee River Valley—the first explorers and missionaries; the coureurs de bois and fur traders, and the pioneer settlers from France, French Canada, and Belgium.

Open: Sat. 1pm-4pm, Closed Jan-March
