The Kankakee County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc., now known as Visit Kankakee County, was founded in 1983 as a 501 (c) 6 not-for-profit association to promote and champion Kankakee County as an overnight visitor destination. Today, Visit Kankakee County has grown to include 22 communities and boasts over 1000 hotel rooms and hundreds of entertainment, dining, shopping, retail and cultural attractions for visitors to enjoy and experience.

Board of Directors
Board of Directors meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 4pm. Meeting times subject to change due to scheduling conflicts.

Community Tourism Action Plan (CTAP) Grant Program
We are extremely proud and excited to have implemented a grant opportunity, for both small or large projects, that impact the county's visitor economy. While there are many purposes for these CTAP grants, the primary purpose is to add vibrancy to the communities in Kankakee County and to generate new economic impact through visitation by non-residents.
