On June 21, 1853, the unincorporated town of Kankakee Depot was named the official governmental seat for the newly formed Kankakee County. Today we celebrate Kankakee the City, the County, its history, and the accomplishments surrounding its continuing legacy. Follow the Kankakee Area Jaycees to contribute.
